our smallest one is now more than one year old.
Or more then 12 months old, for those counting in months (as is normal with
thankfully we do not have to write up what his food intake is during the day.
we stopped with that before the boy was 12 months old.
But I can still remember those first couple (11 or so) months that we had to keep notes on how much he had eaten during the day. We used a true Baby Feeding Schedule. (yes, we where a little bit crazy, but it also helped us).

It took him 220 days, but he finally succeeded last night.
Seven months and six days he had been waiting for this moment, his moment.
60% of a year he had been planning.
At least, that is wat I think he did. Because when his moment finally arrived he was smiling.
Smiling from ear to ear.
It was like he was saying: “Got ya!”

November 28th was the first half big party we had for LA.
Our little boy has been in our arms for half a year now and it is getting more fun by the day.
His diaper is fuller than before.
Yes, it does leak sometimes. But we (read: the wife) have has come to the conclusion that this has been my fault.
And I do take the blame.

There is an advantage about planning a pregnancy.
You will not be surprised by some crazy lady that has tears in her eyes and says that ‘We should talk’.
I have been there before, not saying that my wife was/is crazy, but we definitely had a ‘We should talk’ moment.

After our talk with our obstetrician and the specialist we decided to give it one more try.
Because we first had to stop with some medication we had to wait at least three more months before we could really start with our plans.
Due to some more unexpected problems the ‘one more try’ sadly chanced to the third and final try.

Men are simple beings.
We work with lists. It makes our lives easier. And if our life gets easier, everybody’s life will get easier. The other, and maybe best, reason is off course that I will forget what I want to blog about. And a daddy blog without a blog is a bit boring.
So I got this list even divided in a couple of sub lists:
